She’s such a cutie. Such a good girl.

That mileage seems low for a ~35 year old vehicle?
![]() 07/21/2019 at 13:21 |

It's rolled over twice.

I love the fact that 55 mph gets its own colour and mark. Damn speed limits.

edit - nevermind, mis-counted digits a few times

Congratulations, the
break-in period is complete!

Let the doggo drive :o)
Also, I fucking HATE the digital odometers that stop at 999999 instead of rolling over to zero!
The only car with a digital odo that rolls over to 000000 after 999999 is the EL Falcon from the mid 90s in Australia, and they never sold it over here :(

The 55mph highlight and 85mph top limit were both requirements from NHTSA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Maximum_Speed_Law#Speedometers
Dark days indeed.

Just a product of the paranoia caused by the oil embargo of the ‘70's.

And then you have mid 2000s Toyotas which often glitch and get stuck at 299,999

Yup, that too
The 03-08 Corolla, Matrix, and Vibe suffer from that shit. They made the digits
as a88888 instead of the usual 888888

It’s no 80085, but I'll allow it

Hmm, that makes me think that we could use hexadecimal and get a million miles out of five digits, or 16 million out of six. Also we’d confuse a lot of people...
